Frequently asked questions
The things Christmas businesses ask us before they sign up.
- Do I need my own website?
- No. You get a hosted storefront at your own link, plus a QR code you can print for your gate, grotto or till. If you do have a website, you can link straight to it.
- Is there a fee or minimum commitment to join?
- No joining fee, no monthly cost and no minimum number of sales. You earn a share of what you sell — if you sell nothing, you owe nothing.
- How do I get paid?
- Your portal shows exactly what you have earned, order by order, updated as each sale comes in — your share is fixed at the moment of the sale, so a later change to rates never alters what you were already owed. There is no automatic payout run yet: we settle with you directly, and we will agree timing and method in writing before you take your first order.
- What if a customer wants a refund or a video re-recorded?
- Every script is approved by the customer before Santa records it, which heads off most problems. Beyond that the policy is published in our terms: if something is wrong — the wrong name, unclear audio, or a script that does not match what they told us — we re-record it free of charge, and refund in full if we still cannot get it right. A customer can also cancel for a full refund any time before they approve a script. You do not handle any of it; it comes to us.
- What do customers actually see?
- Your name and branding from the first click through to checkout. The finished video carries a Santa introduction and outro — not a Studio Santa advert.
- How long does a video take?
- Most are ready within minutes of the customer approving their script, and we quote 24 hours to be safe.
