Studio Santa isn’t open yet. We’re still building the site, so we’re not taking orders or payments — please don’t enter card details anywhere on it.

Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

Every cookie this site sets, what it does, and why there is nothing to accept.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies used on www.studiosanta.co.uk. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with your information — what we collect, who processes it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

The short version. We set no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The handful we do set are either needed to run the site or to stop you losing what you have typed. None of them follow you anywhere, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing you need to consent to.

What a cookie is

  1. A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer or phone by a website. It lets the site recognise your browser on your next request — which is how, for example, a site remembers you are signed in rather than asking for your password on every page.
  2. Some of what is described below is technically browser storage rather than a cookie. We list it here anyway, because the law treats the two the same and because the distinction makes no practical difference to you.

The cookies we use

This Website may place the following Cookies:

  1. Type of CookiePurpose
Strictly necessary cookiesThese are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, the cookies that let you log in to your account and stay logged in.
Functionality cookiesThese are used to remember choices you have already made, so that a feature works the way you would expect. On this Website that means remembering what you have typed into the order form so you do not lose it part-way through.
  2. We do not use advertising cookies, targeting cookies, social media cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not sell or share anything a cookie tells us, and none of the cookies below can be used to follow you onto other websites.
  3. We do count how many people visit each page, using Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it is not listed in the schedule below. It cannot identify you and does not build a profile of you. This is described in clause 8 of the Privacy Policy.

Why there is no cookie banner

  1. The law requires your consent before a website may set cookies that are not necessary to provide the service you asked for. It does not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary, or that deliver a feature you have requested.
  2. Every cookie on this Website falls into one of those two exempt categories. There is therefore nothing for you to accept or decline, and showing you a banner that asked would be asking a question with only one honest answer.
  3. If we ever introduce cookies that do require consent — analytics or advertising, for example — we will ask for it before those cookies are set, make refusing as easy as accepting, and update this page and the Privacy Policy first.

Controlling cookies yourself

  1. You can enable or disable cookies in your browser at any time, and delete any that are already stored. Most browsers accept cookies by default; the help menu in your browser will show you how to change that.
  2. Because the cookies here are the ones that make the site work, blocking them has real consequences: you will not be able to stay signed in, reach your video library, or complete an order. Nothing about the site will follow you around either way.
  3. For general guidance on cookies and how to remove them, see aboutcookies.org.

Cookies Schedule

Below is a list of the cookies that we use. We have tried to ensure this is complete and up to date, but if you think that we have missed a cookie or there is any discrepancy, please let us know.

Strictly necessary

We use the following strictly necessary cookies:

DescriptionPurpose
Authentication session cookie, set by our authentication provider Supabase and named sb-[project]-auth-tokenTo keep you signed in as you move between pages, so you can reach your account and your video library without entering your password again on every page.
Sign-in verification cookie, named sb-[project]-auth-token-code-verifierTo confirm that a sign-in or password reset link was opened by the same browser that requested it, which stops someone else using a link intended for you.

Functionality

We use the following functionality cookies:

DescriptionPurpose
Order form storage (session storage, used while you are filling in the order form)To remember the details you have entered on the order form — such as the child’s name and the options you have chosen — so that you do not lose your progress if you sign in part-way through or move between steps. It is cleared when you close the browser tab or complete the order.
